On our way to Tel Aviv, to start we stumbled upon a remarkable initiative born after October 7, 2023: the “Refreshment and TLC” stations, which have been set up across Israel. As shown in the attached photos, these stations are entirely run by volunteers, offering food, games, reading materials, and, above all, a sense of warmth and care. Every soldier who stops by is encouraged to take a moment to rest and recharge.
This initiative is just one of many ways Israelis are demonstrating their steadfast support for our soldiers—many of whom are risking their lives to protect Israeli civilians. Even in the face of unimaginable war, fear, and constant danger, there is a determined effort to maintain some sense of normalcy.
A deeply moving part of the experience was the “Wall of Remembrance,” where photos and stories of fallen soldiers are displayed. No one can remain dry-eyed while reading about these beautiful lives lost in service to their country. Thank you, dear Israel Defense Forces, for your unwavering dedication and sacrifice.
